The role: 퇴직연금 컨설턴트 – Retirement Pension Consultant
We are currently seeking
to add to our pension consulting team for Korea. this role will be based in
Hong Kong to oversee client servicing from technical, analytical, and
operational aspects and provide pension advisory and solution services.
You will be responsible
for helping clients achieve their pension goals by advising them on appropriate
pension objectives and policies, assisting with pension plan design and
implementation, actuarial valuation, and monitoring the performance of their pension
portfolios. You will be expected to provide expert advice on a wide range of
pension-related topics.
You will be responsible
for delivering client work and supporting business development activities in
the pension space. You will take a proactive approach to supporting business
development and client deliveries for both existing and prospective pension clients.

contributor, ready to act as a project lead, work independently, and help

and internationally within Mercer.
POSITION SCOPE
Project Management:
- Project
management responsibilities appropriate for this role.
- Will
cover actuarial valuation, pension plan design and implementation, and
regulatory compliance etc. focusing on the clients in Korea.
- Coordinate
the project process by effectively communicating and organizing with
internal professionals and clients.
- Work
with the team on pension-related analysis, utilizing actuarial models,
pension portfolio monitoring and industry best practices to develop
pension advice on clients' long-term objectives.
- Handle
client queries and requirements and collaborate with colleagues on
delivery.
Business Development:
- Initiate
business development opportunities and pitches in the pension space.
- Contribute
to expand client base and business cases based on the market network in
Korea and MMC collaboration.
- Engage
in preparing presentations, proposals, and service materials in line with
the business developments.
Client Service:
- Act
as a client service manager for pension clients across advisory and
solution services.
- Handle
client inquiries from pension technical and operational aspects by
collaborating with specialists in various regions. Ensure high-quality
pension deliverables.
What you need to have:
- Good
academic track record, preferably in numerical subjects such as Actuarial
Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance (Accounting/
Management/ Behavioral), Data Engineering, and related fields. (계리/수학/통계 전공자)
- 7-10
years of proven experience in the pension industry, such as client
servicing, pension plan design, actuarial valuation, pension risk
management, retirement income strategies, regulatory compliance, and
related areas. (퇴직연금 계리 및 컨설팅 경험 보유 우대/계리사 자격증 보유자 우대)
- Strong
language capabilities in Korean and English. Cantonese and/or Mandarin
would be an added advantage.(영어소통 가능자 필수)
- Experience
in analytical coverage and dealing with various pension products and
solutions.
- Strong
project management skills, planning ahead for different milestones and
executing in a timely manner with a strong commitment to quality.
- Ability
to articulate complex and technical information in layman's terms through
written and verbal communication.
- Strong
team player. Open to working as a team with a positive mindset and
actively collaborating with various internal and external parties.
