IAIS Annual Conference in Chile

Last week, IAA President Roseanne Harris and Executive Director attended the IAIS Annual Conference in Chile. Roseanne had the opportunity to discuss with 6 other exemplary women from around the world and shared their personal stories and powerful messages of advice and encouragement to a full room at the Women in Insurance lunch. The 6th Climate Risk paper, The Climate Change Adaptation Gap: An Actuarial Perspective, was released for consultation on November 2nd. On November 3rd, the authors of the 5th paper, Climate-Related Disclosures and Risk Management: Standards and Leading Practices, hosted a webinar. If you were not able to attend, you can attend the webinar recording on our YouTube channel.
Last week, Stuart Wason and Rade Musulin represented the IAA at the 27th COP meetings in Egypt. 2022 AFIR-ERM – Actuarial and Risk Management Survey to Support Pandemic Working Parties 2022-2024
The AFIR-ERM Section invites you to participate in a survey focused on Risk Crisis management of the Pandemic for the Financial Services Sector.
The survey aims to provide a systematic and structured insight to the IAA – Finance and Risk Management Section (AFIR-ERM) in understanding the reality of the current and near-future landscape of) the management and priorities for the Financial Services sector across the world.

It aims to provide anonymous insight for the IAA – Finance and Risk Management Section (AFIR-ERM) in understanding the reality of the current and near-future landscape of ESG (Sustainability) management and priorities, at a portfolio level.
The terms #ESG and #Sustainability will be used interchangeably in this survey. The term "portfolio" refers to a book of business for banks, a scheme for a pension fund or a portfolio of assets/fund for insurers and asset management.
We welcome the professional (independent) response participation of third parties and employees of firms with direct interaction of the Portfolio for this survey.

Please submit your association’s proposals no later than November 25, 2022.
