Machine learning in claims reserving is an exciting area of actuarial research, with the promise of higher accuracy or greater insight and moving beyond limitations of traditional methods.

IAIS Paper on Structural Shifts in the Life Insurance Sector - IAA Comments Submitted

In March 2025, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) published for consultation a draft Issues Paper on structural shifts in the life insurance sector.
The IAA response developed by the Insurance Regulation Committee (IRC) was submitted to the IAIS on 2 June 2025. Click here to access the IAA submission.
A big thank you to Nick Dexter and the IRC members who contributed to preparing the response on behalf of the IAA.
Through this Call for Papers, ICA2026 offers you the opportunity to be part of the Congress program and contribute to the advancement of actuarial science across various fields.
The first step is to submit an abstract of your presentation by September 30, 2025. We welcome presentations without a paper. You can submit an abstract even if you do not plan to provide a paper for the Congress. However, please note that only submitted papers will be eligible for awards and we would encourage you to submit a paper.
2025년 3월, 국제보험감독자협회(IAIS)는 생명보험 산업의 구조적 변화에 대한 쟁점 보고서 초안을 공청회용으로 발표했습니다.
이에 대해 국제계리사회(IAA) 보험규제위원회(IRC)에서 마련한 의견서가 2025년 6월 2일 IAIS에 제출되었습니다. 여기에서 IAA 제출문을 확인하실 수 있습니다.

참여의 첫 단계는 2025년 9월 30일까지 발표 초록(Abstract)을 제출하는 것입니다. 논문 없이 발표만도 환영하오니, 논문 제출 예정이 아니더라도 초록은 자유롭게 제출해주시기 바랍니다. 단, 수상 대상은 제출된 논문에 한하므로 논문 제출을 권장드립니다.
