International Actuaries Day 2023: The Actuarial Planet - Extending our Wings

Join us on September 1st* to celebrate International Actuaries Day 2023 (#IAD2023): The Actuarial Planet - Extending our Wings Micheline Dionne, IAA President will host this webinar where we’ll hear from three actuaries who have extended their own wings. During their talks, they will encourage us to be bold about opportunities open to actuaries. We hope to inspire actuaries to look beyond traditional actuarial practice and demonstrate how your actuarial skillset opens a world of possibilities.

The IAA responded to the IAIS Strategic Plan 2025-2029 stakeholder survey on 18 July 2023.

IAIS Consultation on a New Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation Policy

As informed in the IAA News Brief on 12 July 2023, the IAA responded to the IAIS Consultation on a New Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation Policy on 20 August 2023.

The response prepared by the Insurance Regulation Committee, in accordance with the requirements of the IAA Due Process for Making a Public Statements, is posted on the IAA website under PUBLICATIONS/ PUBLIC STATEMENTS (please click here).

In Memoriam – Estella Chiu

Audience: All

We are saddened to announce the passing of Estella Chiu.

Estella was a devoted volunteer with the IAA for over a decade serving on numerous entities. Her international volunteering contributed significantly to the IAA’s mission and to the actuarial profession globally. She will be missed and remembered by those who worked with her closely.

We would like to extend our condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.

A memorial service took place on August 23, 2023.

Estella Chiu - 기억하며

우리는 Estella Chiu의 사망 소식을 전하게 되어 슬픕니다.

Estella는 10년 넘게 수많은 기구에서 봉사하는 IAA에 헌신적인 볼룬티어였습니다. 그녀의 국제적인 볼룬티어 활동은 IAA의 사명과 전세계적인 보험 계리 전문성의 크게 기여했습니다. 그녀와 함께 일했던 사람은 그녀를 그리워하고 기억할 것입니다.

우리는 그녀의 가족, 친구, 동료들에게 애도를 표합니다.

2023년 8월 23일 추모식이 거행되었습니다.
