This webinar aims to identify and communicate emerging reinsurance issues and trends for the Asia Pacific insurance community.
Financial (Reinsurance) Solutions are commonly used alongside more traditional reinsurance solutions in many markets of the world. However, in South East Asia Financial Solutions’ concepts are still not very well-known let alone being implemented. The speaker of the first session will share an introduction to Financial Solutions while showcasing some typical situations, where Financial Solutions renders a benefit to the insurer allowing him to meet some specific financial objectives.
Considerations of pandemic related issues in reinsurance has become increasing important since the outbreak of Covid-19. Speakers from the second session will touch on the modelling, pricing and risk management of Life / Health insurance from data of the Covid-19 pandemic in the first part of the presentation. This will then be followed up with a discussion on the insurability of pandemic risks and its corresponding reinsurance considerations.
Actuaries and non-actuaries who are involved with reinsurance, and those who have an interest in this area, are invited to join this webinar.
