The SOA is organizing the Insurance Investment Outlook for 2021-An Asian Perspective Webcast on 7:00 -8:30PM HKT 25th February,2021 with the support from the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (ASP).
As we wrestle through the pandemic and open 2021 with hope, we anticipate continued economic recovery. Asia presents favorable recovery trends, but the growth patters remain divergent. Investment fundamental must be revisited with a new perspective and deeper risk analysis. Are there new ways of insurance investment or adages that must be challenged? Learn these and more from industry experts Mr. Genghui Wu and Mr. Steve Cochrane as they share their outlook on market drivers and its impact on the insurance industry.
Mr. Genghui Wu currently serves as a Managing Director at Global Strategic Initiatives of Prudential Financial, which he is responsible for implementing and supporting Prudential’s global business development and strategies. Mr. Wu is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Fellow of Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
Mr. Steve G. Cochrane is the Chief APAC Economist with Moody’s Analytics. He leads the Asia economic analysis and forecasting activities of the Moody’s Analytics research team, as well as the continual expansion of the company’s international, nation, and subnational forecast models. Mr. Cochrane holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and is a Penn Institute for Urban Research Scholar. He also holds a master’s degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Davis.
