The SOA is organizing the Solvency Capital in the context of Risk Management Webcast on 17th December (Thu), 1900-2030 (HKT). With recent development and implementation of risk-based capital in Asia insurance market, local insurers start to consider implication of the new capital regime from BAU (Business as Usual) and strategic perspective. The speakers of the first session of this webcast will discuss the BAU considerations as well as possible impact of newly developed capital regime, with focus on general insurers, including underwriting, investment, reinsurance and other considerations.

Having interest rate risk management and operational risk management being the hot topics nowadays, speaker from the second session of this webcast the speaker will also illustrate some significant impacts on solvency capital in derivative hedge program and operational risk management framework.
