Qualification

How to become an Actuary

You have to pass the qualification examinations of FSS(Financial Supervisory Service) and register as an actuary

Qualification requirements

Step 1. Level 1 Examinations : 4 Subjects

Must score 40 or above in all subjects and achieve an average of 60 or above with qualification of English Test.

  • Insurance Act

  • Economics

  • Actuarial mathematics(1)

  • Accounting

Step 2. Level 2 Examinations : 5 Subjects

Must score 60 or above in all subjects within a period of 5 years.

  • Actuarial mathematics(2)

  • Pension mathematics

  • Actuarial risk management

  • Actuarial model

  • Corporate finance and financial mathematics

Step 3. Actuarial work experience

Those who pass all examinations are required to have at least 6 months of actuarial work experience.

Step 4. Registration with FSS

The candidate who complete all the requirements above has to register with the FSS for actuarial qualification.
